Looking for a PocketSmith alternative?

PocketSmith is a strong long-range forecasting tool. But if you want investment performance tracking, dedicated FIRE planning, and every feature in one plan rather than spread across four tiers, there is a better fit.

Investment tracking that actually tracks investments

PocketSmith's own documentation states they "do not have a detailed share-tracking feature." You can import a portfolio balance from Sharesight or log an asset manually, but there is no way to track individual holdings, see returns by security, compare performance against a benchmark, or monitor dividends.

Endute tracks every holding across your brokerage accounts: stocks, ETFs, bonds, and funds. You get Time-Weighted Return and Money-Weighted Return calculations, benchmark comparisons, multi-currency valuations with automatic FX conversion, and a full transaction history per security. If your investments are a meaningful part of your financial life, that gap matters.

FIRE planning: from educated guess to stress-tested plan

PocketSmith publishes content about the FIRE movement, but the product has no FIRE-specific tools. You can project a balance forward using their forecasting engine, which is useful for general planning, but it will not tell you your FI number, your safe withdrawal rate, or how likely your plan is to survive a market downturn.

Endute's FIRE module lets you build a multi-phase retirement plan (accumulation, semi-retirement, full retirement), then validate it with Monte Carlo simulations across thousands of randomised market scenarios and historical backtesting using over a century of real market data. The what-if explorer lets you drag sliders and see how changes affect your projected FI date in real time. It is the difference between projecting a number and stress-testing a plan.

One plan, no tiers to climb

PocketSmith has four tiers. Foundation (£9.99/month on annual billing) limits you to 6 bank connections from a single country and caps the forecast at 10 years. Multi-country feeds mean Flourish at £16.66/month; unlimited everything means Fortune at £26.66/month.

Endute is one plan at £8.49/month or £69.99/year, with no limits on bank connections and nothing reserved for a higher tier. Investment tracking, FIRE planning, and unlimited multi-country connections are all included from the start, where PocketSmith spreads the equivalents across its upper tiers. The difference is less about price and more about not having to map your needs onto four plans.

PocketSmith's free tier limits you to 2 accounts with no automatic bank feeds, and its paid tiers (Foundation, Flourish, Fortune) ladder up bank connections, countries, and forecast range. Endute is a single £8.49/month or £69.99/year plan with everything included: unlimited connections, investment tracking, and FIRE planning, none of it gated behind a higher tier.

Common questions

Does Endute have long-range cash flow forecasting like PocketSmith?
Endute's general cash flow forecast covers up to one year with three scenarios (worst case, expected, best case). PocketSmith's forecast extends up to 60 years, which is their flagship feature. However, for long-range retirement projections specifically, Endute's FIRE module projects forward to your FI date with Monte Carlo simulations and historical backtesting, which gives you probabilistic confidence rather than a single projected line.
Does Endute have customisable dashboards?
Not in the way PocketSmith does. Endute has a fixed dashboard layout with a rich set of components: net worth, portfolio performance, budget summary, savings rate, upcoming transactions, and financial insights. PocketSmith offers configurable dashboards with 11+ widget types. If drag-and-drop dashboard customisation is important to you, PocketSmith has the edge there.
Can I share my Endute account with my partner or advisor?
Not yet. PocketSmith offers Advisor Access for sharing accounts with family, partners, or financial advisors. Endute is currently built for individual use. Household sharing is something we are considering for the future.
Does Endute have a public API?
No. PocketSmith has a well-documented REST API with OAuth support. If programmatic access to your financial data is a requirement, PocketSmith is ahead on that.
Can I import my PocketSmith data into Endute?
You can export your PocketSmith transactions as CSV and import them into Endute manually. There is no automated migration tool at this time. Once you connect your bank accounts in Endute, new transactions will sync automatically going forward.
