Refer a friend

Most of our best users arrived because someone they trust showed them their budget. The programme just says thank you for that: give a month, get a month.

The deal

Your friend gets their first month free: one month of their plan comes off their first invoice when they subscribe after the usual trial. On the annual plan that is a month's worth off the first year.
You get one month of your own plan as account credit for every friend who subscribes and stays. It comes off your next invoice, or off your renewal if you pay annually. Five friends earn a bonus credit, and ten earn another.

How to refer someone

Open Refer a friend from the user menu on the web, or under More and Account in the mobile app. Your code is at the top with a copy button and a share button; your friend enters it in the Promo or Referral Code field when they sign up, or follows your link, which fills it in for them.

The same page is the ledger: credit earned, credit still to come with the date it lands, and each referral with where it stands, from on trial to credited.

When the credit lands

A referral pays once your friend has paid enough to cover it. If they chose the annual plan, your credit lands 30 days after their first payment. If they chose the monthly plan, it lands after their third payment. Either way they need to still be subscribed at that point; a friend who leaves within the money-back window earns nothing on either side, which keeps the incentive fair.

A note on fairness

Credit is granted for real, separate people. A referral paid with the same card as your own, or an unusual burst of sign-ups, is held for a look before anything is applied. Credit is capped at twelve referrals a year; your friends still get their month whatever the count.
