Understanding the dashboard
Nine cards, one glance: what each shows, and the time window behind it.
The dashboard is a fixed snapshot, deliberately so. Each card answers one question over a set window, and every monetary value is converted to your base reporting currency. During your first days the Getting Started checklist sits above the cards; once it is complete or dismissed, the grid has the page to itself.
The nine cards
| Card | What it shows | Window |
|---|---|---|
| Net Worth Overview | Current net worth, total assets and total liabilities, with the trend. | Last 6 months |
| Pending Review | How many imported transactions await your review, with a picker to start reviewing an account. | Now |
| Liquid Savings Runway | How many months your liquid savings would last at your average spending. | Now |
| Insights | Automatic observations about your finances, each dismissible. | Rolling |
| Liquid Accounts Snapshot | Current totals for your Current, Savings and Cash accounts. | Now |
| Upcoming Scheduled | Scheduled transactions coming due. | Next 30 days |
| Budget Performance | Income and expenses against budget for the month. | Current month |
| Investment Performance | Portfolio value trend. | Last 60 days |
| Income & Expense | Income and expenses this month, plus the daily trend. | Last 60 days |
Reading a few of them well
Liquid Savings Runway is the quiet star. It divides your liquid balances by your average monthly spending over the last three complete months and tells you how many months you could coast. The colour does the judging: red below one month, amber below three, green from six up. If you keep one habit from the dashboard, watching this number grow is a good one.
Pending Review is the working card. When your banks sync, new transactions queue here for a quick confirm-or-correct pass, and the count tells you how much is waiting. Pick an account from its dropdown to start. The habit costs a minute a day and keeps every report trustworthy.
Net Worth Overview and Income & Expense are the two trend cards worth a weekly glance rather than a daily one. Balances wobble; trends inform.
The cards are not configurable yet
One currency to read them all
Every card converts to your base reporting currency, the one you chose at signup. Accounts held in other currencies are converted at current rates for display, which is why a EUR account can nudge your GBP net worth without any transaction happening. You can change the base currency in App Settings, under Base Reporting Currency; reports and cards recalculate from there.
What next
When a card makes you curious, the matching report answers properly: the sidebar's Reports panel holds twelve standard reports with filters and custom date ranges. And if the numbers themselves look wrong rather than surprising, tell us. A wrong number is a bug, ours or the bank's, and we want it.
