How currencies work in Endute
A euro account stays in euros, a dollar account in dollars, and one currency of your choosing ties the picture together.
The one principle
Every account has a currency, and everything in that account, balances and transactions alike, lives in it. Endute never rewrites a euro transaction into pounds; conversion happens at display time, when numbers from different currencies need to share a page. That keeps your records exact, and it means the original amounts are always there to check against a statement.
The base reporting currency
The wizard asked for your main reporting currency at signup, and it can be changed any time in App Settings under Base Reporting Currency. This is the currency of your totals: net worth, the accounts grand total, dashboard cards, and budgets all speak it. Change it and everything recalculates from the underlying records; nothing is lost or rounded away, because the records themselves never changed.
When conversion happens, and at what rate
Two rules cover it. Balances convert at current rates: your net worth today uses today's rates, which is why a quiet week can still nudge the total when currencies move. Aggregations over time convert each transaction at its own date: a March dinner in euros joins a spending report at March's rate, not today's, so history stays as it was lived.
Reports in any of your currencies
Report pages carry a Currency picker offering your base currency and each currency your accounts use. A euro-heavy month can be read in euros, then flipped to the base view for the whole-picture version, with the same per-transaction-date conversion doing the work underneath. The mobile apps currently show reports in the base currency only.

What next
The two places currency does subtle work are covered on their own pages: FX in budgets and reports and cross-currency transfers.
