App settings, explained

Endute keeps settings deliberately few. The handful that exist are the ones that genuinely change how the product behaves for you.

Finding them

The user menu at the top right holds exactly three things: Profile & Security (your account, password, 2FA, subscription), App Settings (this page) and Logout. Messages live behind the bell icon next to it, not inside the menu.

What each section does

  • General holds the one setting that touches everything: Base Reporting Currency, the currency your dashboard, budgets and reports summarise into. The multi-currency guide explains what it does and does not change.
  • Localization sets Your Country, which helps us pick relevant insights and bank coverage, and the Theme: light, dark, or following your device.
  • Data Syncing has the Enable Automatic Syncing switch. Off means your connected banks stop refreshing on the schedule; how syncing works covers why you would rarely want that.
  • Communication & Legal controls two emails, Receive Product Updates and the Weekly Financial Digest, and records your terms acceptance. Service emails about your account itself are not optional, which is a legal matter rather than a preference.
  • Onboarding can bring back the Getting Started Guide checklist or re-run the setup wizard, useful when a second person in the household wants the walkthrough you skipped.

Why so few settings?

Every setting is a question the product asks you to answer for it. We would rather make a good default than add a toggle, so when something feels missing here, it is usually either automatic or on the roadmap rather than hidden.

What next

Passwords, 2FA and sessions live one menu item up, under Profile & Security; the security guide walks through them.
